printing date on picture

I have vista programming and I cant find where the settings are that allows you to print the date on your photo. That option does not appear under printer options?? Is that a camera setting option and I am forgetting that it is there? I cant find it there either at the moment. My dad also wants to print the date on his pictures and I remember on my old computer system having the option to print the date or not??

anyone have any assistance.?

Took me a bit but I figured it out. It is a camera option.... but it is not apparently an option on dad's camera.... LOL seems like they would give you that option. I will have to look at his camera menu in more detail.

I personally dont like the date on every picture but he does so he knows when it was taken.

Thank you very much for the input though.

glad you found it

I don't like the date on the picture either. When I put the pictures on disk or on the computer, it shows the date and time and even which camera I used with the file (I can see the info when I hover over it with my cursor)

AH HA my dad called Figi cameras and they do NOT have that option on thier cameras to print the date on the pic. they said it isnt desired in China so they dont offer it. Dad is now thinking the computers and printers should offer that since the computer knows when the picture was taken! lol I told him that the date is a read only file for the computer and "hover over it will always show him." He said that He still wants it on his picture. so I told him to give the computer company or microsoft a call.
